When Goodman Property Trust undertook this new development in its Central Park property, it called in MSC Consulting as structural engineers for the five-level Building One office complex.
The flagship One Central Park building is at the heart of Goodman Property’s office estate on Auckland’s Great South Road. It boasts 5,000m2 office space on four levels with underground parking and retail on the ground floor.
With lead tenant Youi actively involved in the process, the building was designed with open floor plates to encourage mobile working and collaboration.
It incorporated extensive pre-cast wall panels coupled with curtain wall glazing systems, enabling construction and complete fit-out to take place to a tight 12 month time frame.
MSC is thrilled that it was a silver winner at the 2016 New Zealand Commercial Project Awards, an honour that reflects the collaborative nature of the building design and construction process and the results achieved.
