Retirement Village | Senior Living | Location: Milford, Auckland | Client: Oceania Healthcare | Architects: Chow:Hill Architects
Oceania Healthcare engaged MSC to undertake structural engineering for the staged redevelopment of its Lady Allum Retirement Village on Auckland’s North Shore, as the company transformed its existing aged care facility into a modern senior living facility.
Lady Allum Retirement Village in Milford has been undergoing redevelopment for more than 15 years. As part of the expert team, MSC worked alongside architects Chow Hill as Oceania Living set about redeveloping the popular retirement village in Milford on Auckland’s North Shore. MSC reported on the infrastructural capacity required for the development and also undertook 3D modelling to establish the extent of earthworks and the requirement for the retaining walls.
MSC was also involved with the structural engineering design for apartment blocks, villas, communal areas and care facilites over the whole 15-year period of the redevelopment.
The latest stage, Block D, is situated on the western corner of the site adjacent to Nile Creek. It contains 44 new luxury two-bedroom apartments on three levels, with full basement carparking beneath.
