MSC has provided structural and civil engineering services to Z Energy (formerly Shell) for the past 20 years, providing structural and civil expertise across a range of projects.
As Z Energy builds new stations and remodels others throughout the country, some of the more recent projects completed are service stations at Te Rapa, Trentham, Palmerston North, Warkworth, Cromwell, and Christchurch.
MSC Consulting provided the structural and civil design for the Z stations’ shops and canopies and infrastructural elements such as stormwater treatment, drainage, sanitary sewer, pavement design and assistance with Resource Consents.
“While the stations follow a standard layout, each station has its own challenges with regard to ground conditions, and structural and civil requirements," says MSC's project leader Mark Pollard.
