When ASC Architects were engaged to design new clubrooms for the new international golf course at the Windross Farm site in Ardmore, MSC was called in to undertake structural engineering design.
The structural engineering design for this project posed significant challenges due to the nature of the ground. While the surface would appear stable and dry, peat may exist below the surface causing the layer to compress under the weight of the building. Geotech expertise was therefore required to investigate the nature of the land on which the new clubrooms were to be built to ensure that the engineering of the planned building would safeguard against any future subsidence of the building or the land.

The main building features a big lounge and adjacent café which can either be used as separate rooms or as a combined large space. Other amenities of the golf club include changing rooms, a boardroom, administration, a commercial kitchen, a staff room, as well we associated service and storage spaces. The adjacent buildings host a pro shop and the cart store.
Materials used in the build were stained weather boards, precast concrete panels with a timber board imprint, and long-run metal roofing.
